Woman’s Dreadnought

Title

Woman’s Dreadnought

Description

This periodical is Sylvia Pankhurst’s own left-socialist paper. It focuses on East End information and showcases an increasingly noticeable move from women’s suffrage to adult suffrage.

It was notably militantly anti-war with a broad coverage of feminist issues, e.g. the campaign against section 40 D of the Defence of the Realm Act. Pankhurst and the Dreadnought were only members of the Communist Party of Great Britain for a few months before being expelled for leftism and individualism.
